Maiasmokk

The oldest café is "Maiasmokk cafe"
The surprising thing is that the café has been open since 1864! Some time ago there was a bakery there and they sold marzipan figurines. Today, a museum of sweet things is going to be opened in this building. This museum will be dedicated to the history of candy manufacture. Social events and entertainment programs will be held here.
Interior was changed and the building was repaired. However, flavorous coffee and delicious cakes, appetizing pastry and rolls placed in the shop windows are changeless. Smell of fresh buns in the air near the café always tempts the visitors into it. One can meet tired tourists who dream to warm here or elderly Estonian women talking quietly and drinking famous liqueur Vana Tallinn. Married couples entertain their kids with favourite delicacies here.
Vintage interior makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. There is nothing more pleasant than to get to the warm atmosphere of the cosy café after the long stroll on the old streets in the drizzling rain. It’s so wonderful to sit down cosily to the round table, sip burning liqueur and wash it down with hot coffee.
Raisa Gorbachova was one of the high-ranking guests of this café. She liked it. You will like it, too! Welcome and have a nice visit!
